Silver Lining.....

In the midst of the concrete jungles of this south east asian city. Where the hustle and bustle of cars, bikes and trucks orchestrate musical noise to the ears of the civilians, these civilians who have to be somewhere at some time, or meet some one at some time and even catch a plane at one time. Well, i think you know where this is heading.

On this beautiful sunny day.....

We took the wrong monorail train(Another reason why, Moaaz missed his flight), the picture below shows the station at which i realised we were heading the opposite way, we asked this guy to take a picture of us.(Even then we were crazy enough to think of taking a picture).

Well after we found out the next flight was a day later, we thought why not enjoy the sights and sounds of kl somemore...

First thing that came to our heads was cars and lots of them. So called up Ehaab and drove to the biggest car showroom in town. The Naza Showroom in Petaling Jaya. This showroom is a place to see. From economy class cars like toyota and nissan to First clas cars like Maserati, Ferrari's and Porches. It was cars galore.
Here are some warm up pictures....

I hope you guys know what this is...

For non-car enthusiasts, its a Ferrari Enzo...

catching up....

Alright viewers, heres a little insight on whats been happening and whats been missed out...

The beach!.. a nice place, its alot more nice when its sunny and warm but we cant always have our way can we. This time, the beach was cold, windy and rainy, like there couldn't be anything worse. Inspite all of this, the beach was still tempting enough to take a dip and then head to the Gelare for some ice cream.

Heres a picture of us at the shop, eating some nice cold ice cream. Everyones in a Happy mood as you can see(No Smiles)....

No...we just posed with a serious face..

Now fly north for 5 hours over Jakarta and Singapore unil you see a country with too many shopping malls ~ Malaysia

Had a customary cricket practise session here arranged by ehaab,(not that i'm any good) but its always nice to hold the bat and feel the ball..... yea...
After getting bowled out, bowling like a pre-schooler and watching the other players actually play proper cricket... it was time to call it a day...
Scorching sun and the humid heat, a great combination to create a nice aroma naturally. Me and ehaab got ourselves some 100 plus to cool us down.

Well IIUM always holds something new for me to see.. Ehaab as the tour guide... i get in-depth analysis, and you wont get that in the brochures.
This time, the marvel of the place was the addition of a wind tunnel. Usually used for aerospace engineering and also for automotive. Here its for the former.

Its a huge piece of equipment, still in its installation stage, but oh man! that thing can blow you off your feet(literally). The size of a small aircraft engine, looks pretty much like it.

Here's a scale of me compared to the fan blades.(Pic taken by ehaab)

This is just some of the things, that have been missed.... got alot more pics...and a bad internet connection...

Will be updated at a later date....
Keep viewing and blogging..

Arrival....

Left on a jet plane to the land where mamak stalls rule...

It was "hell" packing up my room in Perth and getting ready to go. After a year, you just have too much stuff you never knew you had. Coming home was fun, but it wasnt too much fun saying goodbye to some, although its only for 3 months.

Just when you thought, "yes , almost there, just 5 hours of flying and i'm home", but noooo.... there has to be a glitch. Pilot comes on the speakers and announces "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking...bla bla bla", says that the flight plan hasn't been sent to the control tower for approval so we have to wait until they do.

Wait....wait...waiting......(Half an hour)....still waiting......

Finally after 45 mins, pilot says the flight plan has been approved and we can fly.

Wonderful.----

5 hours later......

"Cabin crew, please be seated for landing...."

Touch down in KLIA...

ahhh.....the humdity hits the skin like never before, which i dont mind for the time being..

Home cooked food, driving over the speed limit(what a relief!), eating some more and spending time with friends and family.....

Just some of the things, that are worth coming back for...

I havent posted in a while, so will try to catch up with some of the due events ... so be on the lookout for more posts on past and present events.

Joy...

No, its not another birthday..
But this event takes place twice a year, it gets you more high than anything else, it will keep you up longer than you stay up on new years and every time it feels like your first time!

The joy of exams and its symptoms have been with us since we were enrolled in pre-school. Starting from harmless colouring books, to writing a story about your favorite holiday, they were all tests in some way. Either testing your colouring skills or your imagination. Dont expect it to be the same a decade and more later because things get harder, tests get harder, we should have gotten smarter(I'm sure some of us have).

Now we have lab tests, oral tests, and ofcourse exams. After all its just another major test on which our future depends on, so its nothing to worry about(hint:sarcasm).

Syptoms of this exam are usually the enourmously unnecessary intake of fattening food and drinks like coffee, milo, junk food and other unhealthy stuff.

When it comes to exams, people become a little more "jumpy" than usual, its like lighting a match in a fuel tank of a plane, the explosion is so tremendous, you won't know what hit you!

Alot of records are broken during the pre-exam period, the record of staying up the most, sleeping the most, eating the most, studying the least and ofcourse my favorite..talking crap about the unit and its lecturers the most.

Well the joy i'm talking is about all that. Its not easy, its not too hard, just enjoy it(in your own way)..

Theres just a litle more to say...

Stay Cool, Stay Calm, and if you want to vent out that little bit of stress....laugh your heart out! you'll feel better...

Goodluck for your exams..

See you on the other side....
